The
2720 Pan & Tilt is 12Vdc, medium
duty specialist Pan/Tilt unit with
telemetry control built-in. The unit
meets most demands, with an operational
temperature range greater than -20°C
to +50°C.
A built in telemetry board enables the Pan/Tilt to be controlled via a serial link, with control from the Britannia TeleCase
or direct from a PC. Preset potentiometers provide positional feedback to a repeatability of 0.2 degrees. The built in
controller provides variable speed control and allows 8 presets to be stored.
Serial Data out is provided for control of the Britannia 2000 series of cameras. Special to purpose software can be
installed to meet any operational requirement.
The unit has been designed to pass the same rigorous testing as the Britannia 2558 Pan/Tilt unit which is in service
with the UK MoD and used on a wide variety of projects, including EOD robots and other remote vehicles.
Applications
The 2720 is ideally suited to the 2712 and 2553 colour zoom cameras
manufactured by Britannia for EOD and remotely controlled vehicles. It is also
incorporated into the Mini Mavis rapid deployment, remote control camera
system.
