Description

 

The 2558 is a very robust, 12vdc Pan/Tilt which has been extensively tested for operation under arduous conditions. Units are in use in many different countries and temperature conditions. The 2558 is in service on a large number of mobile & portable applications for the UK MoD and Defence Forces around the world.

Extra insulation and low temperature heaters are available to counter the most hostile temperature variations; however the standard unit meets most normal demands, with an operational range of greater than -20°C to +70°C. The extended temperature version operates to -40°C.

The unit has passed EMC testing based on radiated emissions and susceptibility and is in service with EOD robots and other remote vehicles.

Applications

The 2558 is ideally suited to the 2553 MIL Specification colour zoom camera and 2556 illuminator manufactured by Britannia 2000 for EOD and remotely controlled vehicles, unattended surveillance sites and situation awareness cameras on military vehicles.
