Description
The 2630 push button remote controller was developed in response to requests from Air Support units who
did not require the full functional 2656 remote control panel for the 2640 and 2705 airborne video recorder,
or had no spare room for one in the cockpit, yet wanted a simple STOP/START remote capacity.
The 2630 is a hand held cylindrical controller with a single push button, which has a built in green LED
indicator. When the button is pressed once, the LED will illuminate and the VCR will start recording. If the
button is pressed again, the LED will extinguish and the VCR will stop recording.
If in the record mode, and the VCR has indicated an End of Tape warning, the LED in the push button
changes from steady illumination to flashing, warning the operator.
The controller is supplied with a mounting clip which can be attached to a convenient surface and has a
Velcro insert. The body of the 2630 also has Velcro and simply pushes in to the clip.
The 2630 is supplied with a 2m LSF screened cable and a connector for termination by the installer.
